“School Starter Kit” action at PKP Energetyka S.A.

PKP Energetyka S.A. has organised the collection of school aids for children from the Sociotherapeutic Day-Care Centre “Ochotka” organised by Caritas in Warsaw. By 2 September 2013, employees collected crayons, copybooks and other accessories required at school.

”When organising this type of action, we are certain we can count on  our employees. They are seriously committed to helping people in need”.  said Monika Żychlińska, Director of the Office for Communication and Promotions at PKP Energetyka S.A.   ”We also organise collections of blood and Christmas collections of sweets for children in social care. We hope to give them a pleasant surprise and make the “back to school” period more enjoyable.

Spending their time in day-care, children mostly need paper, glue, scissors, erasers, copybooks and crayons. Collected school accessories will be handed over to day-care personnel on Monday, September 2nd.”

”Those children are not spoon-fed, hence aid granted by companies is very valuable.” said Paweł Wolski, head of the Sociotherapeutic Day-Care Centre “Ochotka”.

Sociotherapeutic Day-care Centre “Ochotka”, run by Caritas of the Archdiocese of Warsaw, is attached to the Annunciation Parish at ul. Gorlicka in Warsaw. The Archdiocese runs 5 day-care centres in Warsaw, for 125 children aged 7 to 14, from housing districts of Ursynów, Wola and Ochota.
