“I would like to thank all members of the Supervisory Board for the trust they had in me. It is an honour for me to be in charge of the management of PKP Energetyka, but a big challenge as well. PKP Energetyka S.A. is a company with a very high growth potential. In order to use this potential, no rapid revolution is needed, but consistent daily work oriented towards continuous improvement” said Wojciech Orzech, President of the Management Board of PKP Energetyka S.A.

In the upcoming weeks, the Management Board, together with the managerial staff, will commence work on the company’s development scheme to allow the company to use the biggest assets, including unique competencies of the staff.

“We are fully aware what a great value for the company the staff is. The Management Board will execute the Agreements of Social Dialogue Partners signed by the owner, confirming the current employees’ entitlements, including employment guarantee and privatisation bonuses” said Wojciech Orzech, President of the Management Board of PKP Energetyka S.A.

PKP Energetyka S.A. runs its business in four key areas as follows: electricity distribution via the distribution network throughout the country, provision of electric power services, including the maintenance of railway traction, gas and electricity trading, as well as the sale of liquid fuels to rail carriers.

The company employs more than 7,000 members of the staff. In 2014, the company gained approx. PLN 4.3 billion in sales revenues. In September 2015, following many months of privatisation, a global investment fund – CVC Capital Partners – became the owner of PKP Energetyka S.A.
