Struggling with storm aftermaths in the West Pomeranian province

The violent storms, which passed through the West Pomeranian Province on September 1st and 2nd, resulted in many failure incidents at the traction network. PKP Energetyka’s teams, with as many as 6 maintenance trains with full personnel, carried out the work to remove almost 100 trees which fell within the network. The traction network was damaged at a distance of 8 kilometres. Along the entire distance, traction network fittings were torn away, i.e. carrying lines, hangers, contact wires and other elements; some traction posts were damaged as well.

Almost 40 employees of PKP Energetyka struggled with removal of the obstacles along the route from Dobiegniew to Bierzwnik (line no. 351) from 21:00 on September 1st.  Traffic restoration took almost the entire day. Despite unfavourable conditions and problems with connectivity, the job was successfully completed and passability of the electric traction was restored at 19:00 on September 2nd.
