PKP Energetyka is a partner of the 5th edition of the European Economy Congress

During debates of the European Economic Congress, which is among the largest events of this type in Central Europe, PKP Energetyka S.A. was represented by Wojciech Szwankowski, member of the Management Board and Sales Director.

The 5th edition of the European Economic Congress was convened May 14th-16th, traditionally in Katowice. Over 7,000 visitors, including 700 panelists, participated in over 100 discussions regarding the most vital issues related to the economic and social development of Europe.

The debate in which PKP Energetyka S.A. participated– “Energy Market in Poland”  – attracted representatives of leading Polish energy companies, as well as representatives from the Chamber of Polish Chamber of Industrial Power Engineering and Energy Customers, Office of Competition and Consumer Protection and Energy Exchange. The panellists  discussed previous experiences that have affected the present condition of this economy sector. Also, considerations and barriers to the complete liberalisation of the energy market in the European Union were discussed.
Wojciech Szwankowski, Member of the Board of PKP Energetyka S.A., indicated, among others, the issue of foreign investors entering the Polish market and expecting transparent regulations, especially related to introduction of the so-called “Energy Tri-Pack”.
