PKP Energetyka Capital Group is ready to ensure continuity of electricity supply for rail transport and other customers, including consumers, in connection with the announcement of the state of epidemic risk in Poland due to SARS-CoV-2 by the Minister of Health on March 13, 2020.

PKP Energetyka, as the operator of the electricity distribution network for the railway industry, whose task is to provide power to the railway sector and other customers, including consumers, focuses, in the face of the situation, on ensuring health security for the Company's employees, continuity of the Company's operations and services provided.

The actions taken are consistent with the Company's crisis management procedures and legal regulations, announced on an ongoing basis by the regulations of the Minister of Health, the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, the Council of Ministers and by relevant institutions, as well as the resolutions adopted by the Company's Management Board. All the actions are coordinated by the Company's Crisis Management Team.

The PKP Energetyka Capital Group implemented the principles of preventing the spread of infectious diseases. Particular attention is paid to the health of employees by regular observation and reporting on any worrying symptoms.

Additional rules of limited access to key facilities of the Capital Group used for operation were introduced. The Company prepares reserve personnel to back up actively operating services responsible for energy distribution.

The possibility of remote work has been introduced for employees in order to minimize the risk of hindered movement around the country or access to the Company's facilities, and the employees are informed on an ongoing basis on rules and behaviors to minimize the risk of exposure to the virus in the workplace, during travel and at home.

Employees of PKP Energetyka participate in the works of the Crisis Management Team of the PKP PLK railway infrastructure manager. Continuous cooperation aims to ensure the continuity of the entire railway energy infrastructure operation.

All procedures to ensure safety of employees and continuity of business activity are adjusted on an ongoing basis depending on the current developments. The Company continues to cooperate closely with its partners and is in constant contact with the government authorities to prepare for the possible consequences of the epidemic. It regularly proposes, agrees upon and implements appropriate remedial and preventive actions.
